LondonThe rating agency Fitch has raised the credit rating for Malta. The island's long-term debt would now be rated "A +" after "A", the US agency said on Friday. The Euroland thus certifies a good to satisfactory creditworthiness. The outlook is stable. Fitch justified the upswing with the sinking debt and the strong economic growth. In addition, Malta is adapting its latest pension reform.
